Mail not sent or what?

So i intalled openemm and i was able to log in. when i send email to my recipients, this will be the delivery status:

Generated emails: 2
Sent emails: 2
Total emails: 2

but when i check the email addresses on which i send the email, there is nothing there. What could be possibly causing this? i've been waiting for the email for like 4 hours now, still nothing.
