Why do you use Resin as web container and not Tomcat?

We use Resin for various reasons:

1. History: When we started developing E-Marketing Manager (the commercial version of OpenEMM) in 1999 Tomcat was not available. Furthermore, Resin offers distributed sessions and load balancing, which is important for our commercial product.

2. Easy of use: In our opinion, Resin is easier to configure and administrate than Tomcat.

3. Performance: Experience shows that Resin outperforms Tomcat. (And the performance of the commercial version of Resin is even better.)

However, Tomcat should work with OpenEMM. But, as far as we know, nobody has tested it yet (at least we got no feedback from the community).
